Request

Please create a durable archive-completion and future-handling note for our family photograph archive using the project history. Also send Marcus Tanaka a concise, optional one-time update about possibly reviewing identifications in the future, without scheduling anything or establishing a recurring call cadence.

Fact 43

Riley Tanaka, Riley's mother, and Marcus placed all 40 photographs in archival sleeves and boxes before scanning any of the returned photographs.

The conservator returned the eight treated photographs with final condition notes. All six adhered corners were separated without additional image loss. The two mold-affected edges were cleaned and stabilized, with no central-image damage. Mom, Marcus, and I added the eight returned prints to the same condition-based family inventory as the 32 dry photographs, preserving source uncertainty rather than guessing identities. Before scanning any of the returned set, we placed all 40 photographs into archival sleeves and boxes. The entire collection is now stable, safely housed, and available for later identification and digitization.

Fact 239

For both remote family archive sessions, the photograph originals and sleeves must remain unchanged, and unresolved dates and existing provenance must be preserved.

Marcus and I divided the 14 remaining undigitized family photographs into two groups of seven. Create one-time remote family archive sessions on February 14 and March 14, each from 6:00pm to 7:00pm Central. Note that each session covers seven preservation scans; originals and sleeves must remain unchanged, and unresolved dates and existing provenance must be preserved. These are separate from my watercolor block and do not establish a new sibling-call cadence.

Fact 240

The two remote family archive sessions must remain separate from Riley Tanaka's watercolor block and must not establish a new sibling-call cadence.

Fact 244

On March 14, 2027, Riley Tanaka and Marcus Tanaka completed the second one-time remote archive session and made preservation scans of the final seven family photographs, bringing the archive to 40 of 40 photographs digitized.

Source evidence (1)

Marcus and I completed the second one-time remote archive session and made preservation scans of the final seven photographs. He checked names, approximate years, and location notes against the existing provenance; unresolved exact dates remain unresolved. All 40 archived family photographs now have preservation scans, with none left undigitized. The originals remain in their archival sleeves, and the existing envelopes, handwriting, provenance notes, and no-removal boundaries remain preserved rather than replaced by the digital copies. Update `First-pass family photograph inventory` with the completed 40-of-40 status while retaining every existing inventory detail, including temporary-index pair 05's September 1997 envelope transcription, Mom's handwriting confirmation, Buckman courtyard and lease evidence, unresolved exact day, and dry-residue no-removal boundary. Then send Mom and Marcus Tanaka separately this SMS: `Final seven are scanned, so all 40 now have preservation scans. The originals, sleeves, envelope and handwriting provenance, and unresolved dates all stay unchanged.`
