After unpacking, Devika and I compared what made the weekend work. For short trips with Kibo, our preferred structure is now direct car travel and one longer outing with substantial downtime. The OTel collector owner supplied the repeated-retry and process-restart run. Three same-process retries preserve the original observation-derived `source_timestamp`, and retry timing remains separate transport metadata in the passing cases. After process restart, however, 4 of 24 reconstructed-envelope fixtures use the restart-time timestamp instead of the original source timestamp.

Assess the result and draft a concise follow-up that credits the repeated-retry behavior but keeps the process-restart authoritative-time block open.

Devika’s newly posted eight-week hospital schedule now covers the full June 18–22 visit window, with no hospital assignment or overnight coverage during those dates. My finalized Infra roster for the same interval still hasn’t arrived, so we cannot confirm the visit or authorize booking yet. Mom’s no-booking instruction remains in place.

Kibo’s clinic sent a reminder for his already scheduled April 30 routine annual exam. The appointment time is unchanged. No fasting is required, and they’d like a fresh stool sample collected within 12 hours if practical. Kibo still has no new symptom, medication request, or urgent concern.

The shard-keeper owner supplied the missing cache-reload interleaving evidence. Across 5,000 executed permutations, the client restores the durable response floor for epoch 42 before cached responses become visible. A delayed epoch-41 response arriving before, during, or after cache reload is rejected, and no cached prior-epoch response is returned. The existing crash-before and crash-after durable-acknowledgment regressions still pass. Production remains unchanged.

Confirm whether this closes my response-fencing block and draft a bounded closure note that leaves implementation and release ownership with the Data Platform owner path.

The ingest-edge owner supplied the remaining cancellation-versus-dispatch evidence. If cancellation wins before dispatch, the dispatcher sees the selected terminal state and does not start the request. If dispatch wins, later cancellation cannot replace the terminal result or add a second accounting contribution. Across 20,000 executed interleavings, every accepted request produced exactly one caller-visible terminal result and one matching accounting contribution, with no lost, duplicated, or double-counted request. The cancellation-versus-completion suite remains green.

Assess the evidence and draft a concise closure of my exactly-once terminal-accounting block without taking over implementation or release ownership.

Update the existing `Cross-service failure-case intake template` for the May 20 incident-practice session with three explicit facilitator contrasts: a replacement instance that exceeds a fixed readiness budget must remain unroutable and restart is not acceptance evidence; terminal-state selection and the matching accounting contribution must come from the same winning path; and replay samples cannot be presented as live rollback criteria. Wes owns metrics-router execution; Cyrus and Roman own rollup-service capacity and parity evidence; Nadia owns queue and refusal alert semantics; and I’ll watch only cross-service invariant and failure-mode exceptions. Hema and Nadia have now audited 27 requests under the bounded counter and linked audit records. Ten contain an actual listed exception: four invariant, two provenance, two failure-mode, one ownership, and one escalation.
