The responsible owners reviewed the completed replay, the current- and older-client compatibility results, and the corrected SDK error text, then selected the layered permanent oversized-batch design. Participating SDKs will reject batches above 8,000 points before transmission and tell callers to split them. Ingest-edge will retain deterministic HTTP 413 whole-batch rejection for older or nonconforming clients, with zero accepted points, rejected points equal to the submitted count, and the `oversized_batch` reason. The owners will stage enablement through January 28, with unchanged-retry and accounting stop checks, and the rollout is not complete yet. Create the shared decision-and-rollout document covering this selected client and ingest-edge behavior through January 28.
